THUNDERBIKE PRODUCTS |
TRIUMPH
SPRINT ST CRASH BARS: Thunderbike Powersports sister
company GoTourNZ who run a motorcycle tours and rental business
have Triumph Sprint ST’s in their fleet and inevitably they
get dropped, which often result in expensive fairing damage. These
new crash bars help eliminate such damage. They are contoured to
shape around the ST’s fairing panels in an attractive, but
unobtrusive manner. Made from powder coated tubular steel they are
securely mounted to the frame. Finished in silver, although other
colours are available on request. With a fairing side panel typically
costing around $800, these would indeed seem to be a very wise investment.

TRIUMPH
SPRINT ST SPORTS MUFFLER:
Made
from stainless steel, this muffler has a unique “carbon look”
and gives the Sprint ST a nice grunty howl without being excessive.
This is a very high quality piece of equipment, looks great and
very easy to fit. Fits all Sprint ST’s 2002-2004. An off road
pipe tune is required when fitting this. This
pipe and tune combination adds a considerable amount of power and
torque throughout the rev-range

A
THUNDERBIKE CUSTOMER WRITES |
At
the end of our newsletters, we ask if you guys have any comments
submissions, articles or photographs for our newsletters. Colin
Clark from Invercargill asked if he could write an article for our
newsletter to tell of his experience with us and its great to know
that our service is appreciated. Thank you Colin.
Hi
there from the deep south of Invercargill, I have been involved
with British Bikes for over 30 years, none of them the late models
of the Hinckley brand that we have today, (that was up until a few
weeks ago) My article is all about the word service, and how we
all expect to be treated as someone would treat ourselves. I purchased
a 2001 Bonniville and found this to be an amazing bike, the Triumphs
have truly come a long way, I truly love my 79 Bonneville Special
but this newer bike was fantastic. I decided to put a L/H mirror
on it and picked up the phonebook, I rang 2 dealers closer to me
and was told that they were busy and could I ring back, now I am
not an impatient person however I also work in the Motor Trade and
know the word Service.
I thought maybe my small purchase does not mean much to them, I
decided to look on the internet and found a Triumph Dealer in Nelson
called Thunderbike Powersports. One e-mail and I had the price and
availability just like that, ordered the mirror and it arrived very
quickly. I then found on their website the Thunderbike Products
list, I really liked the performance muffler package and the bought
them. It was just after that that I decided to buy a Rocket 111,
to cut a long story short I purchased their demo Rocket complete
with Thunderbike Performance Mufflers, what a machine, to add to
this my wife decided to buy for my 50th birthday ex the UK a Rockett111
Leather Jacket and matching Belt, once again no problem to Thunderbike
Powersports.
Now
my point is that because of the fantastic service and advice that
I received from Richard , Jason , Alan , Graeme and Dave my $160.00
mirror turned into a package that I purchased from them worth Thousands
of Dollars. This Company truly knows the word SERVICE, and I cannot
sing their praises higher, it is the old story sometimes we only
let people know when we are disgruntled and presume that it is all
part of their job; however the fact that they cared enough to be
interested in my little purchase turned into a large purchase. Who
knows if I had been treated right closer to home maybe I would have
dealt with them, however in hindsight I am glad that I have found
Thunderbike Powewsports.
Thanks
Guys you do a truly fantastic job. Best Regards, Colin Clark, Invercargill. |
DAVE'S
TOP TIP! |
Thunderbike
service technician
Dave Wilson shares his knowledge and
wisdom to hopefully help you out or just give you some general useful
information. If you have any questions please email
us (subject- tech question) and we will do our best to
answer it, or, if you have any tips of your own, let us know! Anyway
here goes:
This
time of year we can all get a bit complacent, not exercising and
lazing around on the couch. Our bike’s can also sit idle in
the garage for weeks, battery and tyres going flat, petrol going
stale (esp. NZ petrol) What happens when the sun comes out, we expect
them to be ready to go!
Thinking “she'll be right” is asking for trouble
at best. By using an “Accumate” or “Battery doc”
can eliminate flat batteries. Just leave them plugged in so they
keep your battery at 100 % Priced from $85.00 is a small price to
pay compared to a new genuine battery and a deflated Sunday ride!
Check your tyre pressures (when cold) and fill up with fresh petrol.
With the nights being so long it’s also a good idea just to
check all your lights are working. So don’t leave anything
to chance, happy riding and be safe! |
